CD20抗原（Bp35）は膜貫通型の糖鎖不含タンパク質で、４つの膜貫通ドメインがあります。細胞質内領域のリン酸化の違いによる３種類のアイソフォーム (33、35、37 kDa) が存在します。CD20分子は、末梢血、リンパ節、脾臓、扁桃、骨髄中の全ての正常B細胞に存在しますが、形質細胞には存在しません。ごく低密度ですが、正常末梢血T細胞のサブセットにも発現しています。
