CD19抗原（またはB4抗原）は、95kDaの I 型膜貫通糖タンパク質で、リンパ球の発生、活性化、分化の調節に関与しています。この分子は、pro-B 細胞を含むすべての正常B細胞に発現します。また、濾胞樹状細胞や骨髄単球系の分化初期の細胞、B細胞系培養細胞株のほとんどでも発現がみられます。正常なT細胞、NK細胞、単球、顆粒球には存在しません。
